Eritrea called the claims a sham; TPLF vice-president Amanuel Assefa called them unfounded and said federal authorities were looking for a pretext to undermine the Pretoria Agreement; Eritrean information minister Yemane Ghebremeskel said Ethiopia was floating false flags.
